Our PhD Program is open to applicants holding the equivalent of a German 'Diplom'
or a Master's degree (with written thesis) in physics, geophysical sciences
(incl. meteorology and oceanography), chemistry, ecology, mathematics,
computer science, engineering, economics, or political science. Also students
currently still working on their MSc thesis are encouraged to apply. The selection
procedure includes an interview of short-listed candidates.

Online registration for our Call for applications for the Year 2013
is possible from 1 July - 23 August.
(Application documents can be submitted until 30 August.)

Doctoral positions generally start in March; financial support will be offered
in the form of a stipend or a doctoral contract (duration up to 3 years).

PhD topics will be finalized upon admission.
